Severe Spinal Stenosis?

I have severe spinal stenosis in the lower lumbar regions. Had surgery last year to try and ease the pain. It worked for about a month and then it got worse. Now it's unbearable. I do not want to go through the surgery again because the rehab after was hell.
Does anyone know of natural pain rememdies since my dr won't prescribe me anything? I have been on morphine for 2 years and now she has decided that is enough.
Also does anyone know of any exercises that can be done to strengthen the muscles and help lose weight while suffering from severe spinal stenosis?

Answers:
If surgery is indicated, there is no alternative. I understand that you have suffered a lot, but whatever else you will try, has no surity because there is no scientific basis for most of those therapies. You have been taking morphine for pain relief, what can give you better relief? If doctor advises surgery, go for it. I really feel lot of sympathy for you. Good luck!
