Answers:
I would not take your trainers word for it, I would go and see a doctor to get a good diagnosis.
That way if there is a problem it can be gotten over now not later or never.
Could be bone area damage in your un-fused knee plates.
Could stunt your growth... See a real doctor...
Could be. Talk to your doctor about it; he can recommend some good supplements or protein drinks to help. Sometimes that type of pain is caused by low calcium or potassium levels as well, if you're growing fast. Another thing that could help is taking glucosamine/chondroitin supplements.
Go to a doctor PLEASE. My son was having problems with his knees also and he hit a growth spurt but the problem was his bones grew faster than his muscles and he ended up in physical therapy to correct the problem. His knee was going side ways in the joint and was wearing the bone away. This is nothing to mess with. Growth spurts do not cause pain. Achy maybe pain no. Please call the doc.
