Spinal Tap/ Lumbar Puncture back pain?

I had a spinal tap/lumber puncture done on tuesday night. My back is still killing me. I take the percacets, but the moment they start to wear off, I get these flashes of pain that cause me to stop what I am doing and wait til it passes. Is this normal? I dont remember if the doctor said it was or not.

Answers:
I had a spinal tap and two epidurals, and had some pain in my spine afterward. If I walked and took longer strides than usual, I'd feel a shock of electricity up my back. It will go away in time. If you start to have neurological difficulty (weakness, numbness) see your doctor. But I think you're experiencing something quite normal.
I actually had this problem (& i never had a spinal tap)
-I'm not sure if it is completely normal (probably since you had a procedure), but I found it was that since i have slight scoliousis my muscles were extremely tight. <<this might be your problem.
-I started doing pilates and yoga to increase by muscles flexibility
-Get frequent massages to work out knots in your back muscles
-if the pain continues I would see a doctor (it WORKED 100% for me)
Good luck
It sounds like you should really contact your doctor. Everyone responds differently to medical procedures. You could be experiencing some serious side effects that should be treated by a physician. I have never had a spinal tap but my friend had undergone many of them when being treated for leukemia as a teenager. I don't ever remember her experiencing anything like what you have described.

I hope that you can resolve this problem. It sounds very scary in addition to causing you physical distress. Go back to your Doc. Good luck.
I would seek another opioion
