I think cancer can take a lot out of you. Surgery and other treatment can also drain your energy. Patients need to recover from surgery which takes time. Chemotherapy and Radiation therapy affect normal cells as well as cancer cells, so the recipient tends to be tired or even sick from the treatment.
The best thing to do is to eat healthy and have healthy habit without smoking, drinking or using drugs. Vitamins and some reasonable supplements may not a bad idea. Try not to drink too much coffee and tea. If possible, exercise regularly.
Finally meditation and clearing your mind of bad thoughts should help. It is difficult but please try to be optimistic. Live a good and balanced life and at the end, if we can say we have no regret and did have a good life, that should be adequate.
Best of luck.
The lack of energy may be due to your melds talk with your doc.
