After spinal fusion L4-S1 be painkillers required and if so for how long?

I,ve just had my staples removed and although I realize everyone heals differently, I be wonder what to expect over the next few weeks or months.

Any input with regards to this type of operation would be greatly appreciated.

Answers:    Results ebb and flow, some have less or no pain and some enjoy more and it is horrible. See a pain management doctor first. That low down they may be able to do guts blocks or burn the nerves. Why put your body thorugh an operation you may not need.

I do not like doctor that want to operate and it's no big deal.. No concern what you do obtain a second opinion and find a god pain doctor that's a diplomate or works contained by a clinic with one. You'll be glad you did. Without more info and since it's not in your neck and could be dodgy I feel this is your best move. Hope it works out and remember the pain could be worse and you might have to thieve pills the rest of your life. Pain management is just that and you may lone take les meds, but less damage to you. Just do it and you'll be glad you did.

It's resembling my pain management doctor told me when the others wanted to fuse my collar and back, he said you can try the pan management, but you cannot unknot theoperation or something like that, you get the message. Hope you feel better. There is a crude Cox2 inhibitor see www.oldsouthwinery.com. Stuff is potent and no side effectsa like Vioxx and celebrex.
