Anterior Spinal Discectomy?
26 years old and have hernatied disk in C6-C7. They are going to fuze it. My questin is if at hand is anyone out there who can ease my anxiety I would greatly appreciate it. Any had this surgery and natural life return to normal?

You are only 26 years old! They should be looking for alternatives to surgery unless this is vivacity threatening. The sauces of spinal surgery is not very high. While there are lots people who are helped by it, more than 50% either hold no improvement of symptoms or get worse.
Prior to having surgery, I would check out a chiropractor who have a DRX/DRS unit. This is a specialized traction machine for the spine. These units own been proven very effective for helping herniated discs minus surgery. It is covered by most insurances. Try all conservative measures prior to letting someone cut into you.

I had microdiscectomy surgery on my L5 when I was 22, I'm 26 presently. It totally worked. I did however have to change my life for a time mainly properly exercising (back strengthening exercises) on a regular basis and lifting properly, things I should have be doing in the first place. I have an older friend who have spinal fusion 20 years ago and then again a few years back and has never consent to it faze him, still ski's and plays hockey and he is in his late 50's now. Are you sure it is full fusion, most surgeons very soon do microdiscectomy over full fusion. Fusion means they totally remove the disk and wire the 2 vertebrate together where as microdiscectomy is where on earth they just remove the portion of the disk that is bulging. I can understand your coyness, I was terrified. But if the pain is that impossible and the other options such as cortisone injections are out and the specialist tells you that it won't heal later your options are limited. Just talk to your specialist and ask lots of question, they deal with it a lot as this is drastically common. Good Luck.
