Back Pain one year after spinal touch?

About a year ago I was diagnosed with meningitis. Before the diagnosis I received a spinal tap, truly apx. 8 spinal taps. The doctor tried 4 times (He said it would be easy because I was so small), back sending me to the xray people to try. While in there she stuck me almost 4 more times. Well, now I have constant back headache. At first it was just a little numb on my upper spine nouns, I thought it was weird. Then it started hurting sometimes, then adjectives of the time (and even more when I sit too much). Now it has recently started hurting further down also and numbness is a little lower (or I in recent times did not notice it before.) My question is could this headache be from the spinal tap? The original pain and numbness is not close by where I think the spinal tap be. And it has been so long. Anyone ever have similar experiences or possibly have seen a chiropractor for this? I am very panicky of the chiropractor and would like to find a different solution. Thank you for your time

Answers:    I am having that same problem. I had an epidural, a spinal hit, and a blood patch almost three and a half years ago, and I am feeling pain contained by the spot where the meedle was inserted. I was notion a pinch like a needle, but now it's a larger sore feeling around that spot. A chiropractor has given ortho and neuro recomendations to get further conducting tests done. I was thinking maybe it was arthritis? Hoping it's not something as serious as cancer. Good Luck!
Occasionally a chutzpah can be touched during the tap. usually time will resolve this but as it's been quite a while it might be best to see a doctor. When I have my lumbar puncture my back was agony for nearly a month (I walked approaching an oldie, dragging my feet) and I had some pain in the sciatic region too but it eventually subsided. Maybe RSD from destroy due to the spinal tap.
my daughter had a spinal tap later year when she was ten months old - she had kawasaki, i did wonder if it would hold done damage to her spine but so far she has been fine...
nearby are some risks associated with taps.. go to healthsquares.com they might own more info..
also, have you tried a course of massage therapy . it could really lend a hand especially if you can afford to have it done regularly ... also i think the spinal tap is done within the lumbar region and not in the upper spine
and talk to the hospital team that treated you they will be capable of tell you of any side effects a spinal tap may have...
