Can i restore your health from spinal stenosis (a) age 42?
is neorotin a good med for pain as i have spinal stenosis
I own spinal stenosis too (L4-L5). I think you can't recover from it without surgery.
However, I hold been going to physical therapy & it's really helping. They teach you exercises you can do at home also.
I used acupuncture for sciatica...go for about 2-3 months & haven't had it for 9 years!
I think Neurontin can be a great med. ( I have to go off it though because my balance be affected.
Also antidepressants are used for pain. I use Naproxen 500mg 2X/day & Cymbalta 120 mg, & Wellbutrin 300mg.
As you probably know stenosis is a narrowing of the spinal column, so when you're active & blood rushes thru the spinal cord it compresses against nerves & cause pain.
I went to a neurologist because I was getting tingling & numbness surrounded by the bottom of my feet. He diagnosed it.
Ice pack for about 10minutes helps.
A bone MD told me to whip Citracal 2tabs 4X/day (Calcium Citrate & Vit.D3). I take Vit B 50complex good for nerves).and Collagen.
Google: mayo clinic>>diseases>>spinal stenosis
Best of luck to you!
