Can I work the hours of daylight after a spinal slap?
I have to have a lumbar puncture (spinal tap) and I am scheduled to work the subsequent day, is that ok? I know I have to lay down 12 hours after the proceedure, but after 24 hours should I be ready to jump?
Also... is a spinal tap very painful? I am not looking forward to this.
Lumbar puncture is a out of danger and simple procedure. It will sting a bit I guess, (never experianced it before).
Have you heard doctors giving spinal anaesthesia for Ceaserean section or any surgery?
Lumbar puncture is almost similar except that doctors drain fluids for investigations rather than giving anaesthesia. They seem to be ok after the procedure aren't they?
