Cancer within the spinal bone...?

ok my girlfriends mom had brest cancer. they thought they got rid of it all. two years latter the cancer has spread to her spine. its in a bone. is there any means of access to treat that. anything they can do for that. if not what would happen? what would happen to her if they cant find it

Answers:    Treating the cancer located in the spine and treating the intense pain caused by have cancer in the spine are two different problems. Localized radiation therapy along with affliction management can help reduce the intensity of the throbbing from cancer located in the spine. How her Dr would go about treating the cancer surrounded by her spine would depend on what treatments she had previously and what treatments the Dr thinks will work best in subduing this cancer duplication. Anytime cancer has spread to the spine is not a good sign but it is too early to predict what might surface. I'll hope for something good.
good luck
for lukemia they do bone marrow transplant because inside of the bone (marrow) makes tentative blood cells and lukemia is in the blood. Kemo (sp?) can help prevent the spreading of cancer although its brutal on the body. From what I know about the human body, if I had this I would ask the doctor If vertabrae (column in spine) replacement is available (if so its probrably unbelievably risky) but for now just give her adjectives the love you can. once in the bone there may be no hope sorry try the cancer center maybe they can support
im very sorry im not sure
