Could in that be a relation between Spinal meningitis as a child and developing Schizophrenia at the age of 20.?

Could there be a link between Spinal meningitis as a baby and developing Schizophrenia at the age of 20. My babyish cousin had spinal meningitis when he was about 9 months behind the times and almosted died. He was on strong medication and was hospitilized for weeks. He did have some mild behavior issues as a child but nil really that stood out. He graduated high school and be inrolled to leave for the airforce in June. He recently changed and become a different person and has not been dispatch to a State hospital where he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar. This only just took us all bu suprise. Never in a million years would we have thought that. He presently has a "different name" he says that he is a US marshall and just conversation crazy.
Does anyone think that this could be linked to him being so not at your best as a child. And how did it go undetected for so long.

Answers:    My mother had a muscle illness while she be carrying me and was actually of her medicine. She be on very strong pain medication, but always denied it's affect on her time. She certainly denied it's affect on my physical and mental health.
The fact is that our mental states are drastically closely related to our mental well being. Your cousins spinal meningitis was the determining factor contained by his early childhood development. We all know that the affliction centers in the brain are directly linked to our central diffident system. The spinal issues your cousin had are also directly linked to his outward social behavioral development. Doctors and scientists who really know what they are conversation about have discovered the relationships between the certain mental illnesses and our bodies competency to deal with pain. You've see the commercials where the woman says,"...but I didn't know depression had to be painful". It's true.
I have a hell of a time understanding myself growing up. I was ultrashy, undiagnosed ADD, and at the age of 15 I became awfully depressed. My family made me deal with it on my own in need medication. This is when i heard of my mothers muscle disease she had before I be born. Hey, I've really come to understand my own schizophrenic behaviors as a result of how my own depression developing into schizotypol behaviors. It's that PAIN. It all stems from that pain. I'm living proof that even though one may or may not medicate near pain killing drugs, such as opiates, the body and the mind will cope one way or the other. Now this is my belief, it might not be documented reality, but I strongly believe that schizophrenia CAN be a result of the mind AND the body's coping mechanism to deal with strain. I have been taking one of the strongest medicines prescribed for both spinal anguish, AND herion addiction. Look it up it makes sense really. I bet if your cousin gets a pain administration specialist involved he will find his old self come back, I promise!
it can come up suddenly but i have met nation who had meningitis and later began audible range voices Schizophrenia is a brain disorder,it could be caused by a chemical in harmonize in the brain.or i could be inherit from someone in the family.I not a specialist but i assume meningitis is not the cause?
No, I don't think there is a correlation.
However, schizophrenia usually comes on contained by your teens/young adult years--around the ages 18-21--almost never in children.
