Had an M.R.I of spinal cord for M.S lesion?
imaging findings; i note a report which refers 2 multiple lesions cord commencing at level T3, extends 2 the conus. on the axial T2 sequence, lower theoretic cord & conus(image 12 2 32)apparent glorious signal intensity c in cord. COMMENT;vague areas of altered signal intensity is c onlyby the T2 axial sequences the lower thoracic cord. this is not visualised on other sequences and is thought to represent pulsation or flow type artefact's. no other significant abnormalities are visualised.. CAN ANYONE UNDERSTAND WHAT THIS MEANS...

Basically, they really don't know what they are seeing inside T2. The signal intensity depends directly on the density of the tissue. More density equals a stronger signal. The strength of the signal enable the doctor to identify areas of low or high density and is a valuable tool for identifying tumors, lesion, pinched nerves, etc.
