Has anybody else out in that have more than 9 spinal surgeries near nouns?

I am a 46 year old lady with a extraordinarily major spinal problem. I have a severe scoliosis which has required 9 different surgeries over the recent past 18 odd years. I have had spinal cord stimulators and own tried every conceivable alternative treatment known to man. It has now come down to coping next to the pain with the use of strong opioids which stresses me out a bit. Does anybody know of anything that may help. I am currently need to use 100mcg of fentanyl (Durogesic) every 2-3 days, 16 endone per day, an average of 8 injections of pethidine (200mg per dose) a month, anti depressants (gee I wonder why) and sleeping tablets. It really bothers me and my husband and kids really hate it if I am bombed out. Is there an alternative? Would really appreciate anybody at adjectives just contacting me to share similar stories.

Answers:    Describe the state of your back (do you have flatback, your curve length, S, C, or triple curve, levels fused, if you have spinal rotation, etc.). Can you tell who be your surgeons? Are they scoliosis specialists? Where in the country are you? I may be able to suggest someone better to see. What meds are you taking now? (I call for morphine for mine.)
