Has anyone have spinal fusion and a diskectomy that be smokers, and if so what where on earth your results?
i had the diskectomy, and spinal fusion with the cement rather than the bone graph i go back for the results ansd the doc said the bone fused but still wear the bracew for six months, i was feeling better and consequently i started getting what feels like my spine is clicking, like the bones are rubbing together i can surface it and hear it, its very bothersome, i just recently started smoking again every presently and then but the clicking started way before i started smoking, have anyone had this problem? please help if you can. thank you!
Answers: I had a spinal fusion and be a smoker at the time and still smoke but they rgaphed bone from my hip. I wore the most god aweful brace that you could imagine. It took quite a while for me to get adjectives healed up and the doctors blamed it on the smoking but other than that I had no problems.I yearning you luck
I smoke but have never had a spinal fusion surgery. I have to say-so that I don't think one has anything to do with the other and I don`t know you should return to the doctor who did the surgery and let him know that you hear and feel things grinding in in attendance. That does not sound normal at all and I go through the same thing with a ACL reform. I told the doc over and over there was something sharp in my knees grinding and very painful for four months. Finally, even though he thought I was full of crap, he go back in and low and behold I had bone shavings that have broken lose and were grinding up the newly replaced tendons. Sometimes Doctors don't like to listen, but the tiller that squeaks the loudest gets the grease. Good luck to you.
