Has anyone have spinal fusion and disk replacement surgery?
If so, how long were you unable to get around at adjectives, and how long before you managed to move around inside okay?
Answers: I had a shattered vertebra and it have to be fuse with the ones above it and below it. It all depends on where on your spine the surgery will be. They have to go in through my chest and ribs to reach mine, the ultimate of the Ts. It was a couple of weeks before I even started to feel resembling getting around. If your surgery is lower, they will of course go in through your vertebrae. I'd give it a couple of weeks. The worst is over when you can stop wearing the back brace, which means the bone have healed. Good luck, sweetie. Sorry you are having to have this done. But, you will consistency so much better. Not at first. hehe What got me through the bad times after surgery was realize that this is temporary. Instead of focusing on how lousy I felt, I focused on my life after I heal. Kind of like having a baby. The labor is awful, but you know that it won't finishing forever and in the end you have a gorgeous little baby. Same theory. It works.
I had a disc removed and they replaced it next to a titanium cage and bone from my hip. I was moving around in a couple days and walking regularly every morning after that, but it took me a long time to get back to work...months. I know other people who enjoy had the procedure you're talking about. They seize up and around soon, and back to work in several weeks. Unfortunately fusion doesn't always work...
Mine be down low S 1 and 2 I think. They went in through my belly. It be pretty intense surgury, but very successful!
