Has anyone taken Lortabs for severe aching after have a through pay for surgery due to spinal stenosis while preggo
My doctor put me on meds after the back surgery, I broke my back 11 yrs ago and had to own major surgery, from spinal stenosis, I was almost paralized. I am now 12 weeks pregnant, and my OB have allowed me to continue taking them for pain in my put a bet on. I also have metal plates going through my spine from a spinal fusion. He said I shouldn't be on a high dose when the baby's born. Has anyone else ever had anything approaching this or could give advice, Please let me know Thanks so much!!
Answers: I hold never heard of a pregnant female in her first trimester have a serious back operation. Was this IVF as you were almost paralyzed?
FDA pregnancy category C. Lortab may be harmful to an unborn newborn, and could cause breathing problems or addiction/withdrawal symptoms in a newborn. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during treatment. Lortab can pass into breast milk and may spoil a nursing baby. Do not use Lortab without telling your doctor if you are breast-feeding a newborn.
I've had 2 spinal fusion operation about 10 years ago. I still take 4xday, 10/500 loratabs for aching.
