Healing time after my spinal cord surgery.?
Mostly in response to firefighterparamedic. in october 2007, i underwent a right rhoracotomy and upper lobe block resection, which I positve for mrsa.(Its cleared up now thank god and my dedicated doctors) I had collapse of the T3 vertebral body, near severe spine compression and had T3 corpectomy with anterior grafting beside autologous rib strut graft. week later I was placed in a aura vest(which stayed on for a month). a week after that I underwent a posterior C7-T7 fusion. After extensive PT, I am walking. but still trying get my balance. I of late waiting for the day I can wear my heels. I will cut down the air some. Even though the rods are in my spine, it sometimes be aware of like they are spreaded across my back. What else can I do. This causes profusely of stiffnes in my back and hard to stride some times. I can hear the grinding in my knee caps. From my knees two the conclude of my toes, it feels tight sometimes and heavy and times.
Answers: you should try a heating wad and gentle stretches before u get out of bed within the morning...
as for wearing heels again that will bed a while and unfortunatly u may have to wind up giving them up all together..sorry to vote
