How does a spinal fusion work?
I just had back surgery 4 weeks ago. I have a Spine Fusion done and I was wondering how they do the fusion. The doctor said he took bone from my hip and fused it in my spine and we wont know if the fusion took place for 3 to six months. Can someone clarify how this procedure is done in la men expressions? thank you
There is some kind of little cage that the bone scrapings are put in. And in need going and finding the hospital bill from my hubby's surgery I can't remember what they are called and made of. The bone scrapings start growing and attach to the bones of your vertebrae where the bad disk be removed and fill in the space. Hubby also has several screw and rods in his back there (around $20000! of late for hardware, (yes that is 20 thousand)). He went back 6 weeks after surgery and after 3 months and both time x-rays were made to check how the bone was forming.
