Answers: That's interesting... I'm not sure exactly why that is arranged, but my best guess is that it has something to do with some misfiring neurons or connections that grew back and attached to the wrong spots contained by your spinal cord. Perhaps, because of that, the sensation of food going down your throat and into your stomach is being mistaken for a temperature sensation.
You might want to go to http://sci.rutgers.edu and ask near. It's an awesome SCI community.

I am not sure, I am SCI also (c4/5). I have not really noticed that, but I enjoy noticed it seems I don't have the appetite I used to hold before my injury.
