If i enjoy a spinal headache (pdph) how lots days do i hold to stay contained by bed?

i gave birth five days ago and the anasthesiologist told me he accidentally punctured my dura and to expect a spinal headache. a blood patch was offered but i'm trying to get heal up without it. when i take ibuprofin, i feel very well enough to get up and function, but i'm not sure i should. if i feel okay on meds, can i sit up, saunter around a bit, and take it easy, or am i just making things worse? do i really own to lay in bed all day til its better?

I've had one of those from a spinal tap and they are awful! I had it for 4 days earlier I went back to the er to see what was wrong and I have to wait another day for the guy to come in and endow with me the blood patch. The patch help immediately. I would recommend getting the blood patch done instead of adding more stress on your body that only just gave birth.

Congrats and good luck :)
Congrats on the baby ;)

This query should be answer by the very doctor that punctured your dura. He would and should give you the best advice.
