I'm a entrant for Posterior Decomp. / spinal fusion, Has anybody have it. Is it a upright view Pros Cons?
Since 18 i've had back pain presently in my umm later years i have diagnosis Spinal Stenosis or Lytic Grade 1. Just 2 years ago my doctor told me I am a honest candidate for spine surgery. I've been putting it off and working over time to stay within shape. I am trying to see if anybody else has had this surgery ( Posterior Decompression. / spinal fusion ) and if they can tell me more more or less it. One thing I was confused on was if I come out better than when I go in or does this surgery just stop the pain from getting worst. Please lend a hand me out.
Well, I have never had the surgery, but I have see many patients end up there. It 's supposed to wipe out pain, by placing rods (or bone) in your spine that fuse the vertebra over a period of 6 months til a year. I'm hoping that you enjoy atleast tried conservative therapy before deciding on this surgery...I be a sign of, it's surgery on your spine, ya know?
There is a chance of nerve damage and, unsurprisingly, the chance that it DOESN"T alleviate the pain
I would speak more to my doctor, if you have more question. This is a serious surgery to have.
Good luck to you!
Just like the last entity said it's very serious to undergo this procedure.
The stats show there is a high-ranking chance your pain will return in 3-5 years. That's if surgery is successful - which is going on for 50/50.
I would try this new treatment 1st. It's non-surgical and creates long term pain nouns. There are no risks like surgery.
