Is Chronic Spinal Pain wide open spread (see details, long story)?

I have chronic pain in which I be told by one doctor that he believed me, but I quit seeing him due to the fact that he told me to keep taking a medication that put me in the ER (a breakout of over-hasty & hives & throat closing up) I was very allergic to it & after the ER visit the Dr. told me 2 keep hold of taking it anyway. Well since I had brain surgery for Arnold Chiari Malformation. It only helped a small bit near pressure in my head & headaches. I still own chronic back pain (upper & lower) along with oodles other symptoms (numbness in arms, face, legs, and pain contained by my legs big time). The list goes on.

My main problem is the anguish in my back and legs. I was told I hold a type of spinal stenosis (foraminal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, a 1 cm mass which could just be a hemangioma, and osteophytes & osteoartriitis. However a doctor has told me this is not causing my aching. That NONE OF THESE THINGS CAUSE PAIN, so it must just be depression and in my head. Do you know if these things even if "mild" could inflict the chronic bad pain? Some days I have trouble walking, it is that doomed to failure! I am sick of the run around. I am about to send my doctor a letter roughly speaking this and any articles I might find on them (if anyone can find anything to help me out), that way he will believe my pain. They found these things after I complained of adjectives this pain, in which became worse over a few years. So much worse, I only can't stand it anymore! Any help or advice would be appreciated. Sorry this is so long. Serious answers only please.

I would be rock-hard pressed to go against the advice of a doctor. However, foraminal stenosis, osteophytes and osteoarthritis can all end in pain...don't know why this specific doctor told you otherwise. It may likely be that their placement doesn't fit the location of your pain. In add-on, chronic pain can cause changes within your mood. It would be interesting to know if you are taking any type of anti-depressant. Finally, having surgery to correct the Chiari is a major undertaking. I would encourage you to save searching for the right neurologist / neurosurgeon who can offer you an explanation and appropriate treatment for your complaints. Good luck!
