Is Foraminal Stenosis duplicate as Spinal Stenosis?
Is Foraminal Stenosis the same as Spinal Stenosis? This is on my MRI report and one doctor said I have some spinal stenosis. But this is the only stenosis I see on my reports. I have it in mind there are other things on my MRI, like osteoartritis, osteophyte, mild degenerative disc disease, arnold chiari malformation, and a 1 cm mass on the T4 vertebral body. That is around it. So anyway is that the same as spinal stenosis? I am confused. Oh and do any of these cause pain surrounded by the back area and legs and other stuff. One of the doctors I went to said they do not raison d`¨ētre any pain. They said people do not get symptoms of any considerate with this stuff. See they are looking for an answer as to what is wrong with my back and why I enjoy all these horrible symptoms with my back and legs & other stuff as economically. The doctor I saw at the time and one other doctor said they have nothing to do with strain. (I am very serious about what they said). I thought these things could be why I have the chronic throbbing.
Thank you ahead of time & serious answers only please.
Answers: I can't tell you what a foraminal stenosis is but I can tell you that a stenosis is a narrowing of an nouns where something goes through. Now I know when I had my spinal surgeries that I have stenosis of the nerve root. I don't know if the foraminal stenosis causes pain but I would devise that any narrowing would. Mild DDD is the mid grade of the disease and does cause pain. the mass if it is not interrupting the epidural space or putting pressure on a disc or nerves I doubt it would impose any issues unless it had spurs that may disrupt the subcantious tissues. Osteoarthritis can cause pain. I would obtain the opinion of another neurosurgeon or neurologist. I have dealt beside chronic pain for over 7 years now and have have several spinal surgeries and that is what i base my opinions on fore I am not a robustness care provider. Good Luck
