Lifeguarding: spinal fluid?

i'm training for my bronze cross.
i'd like to know when you're performing a secondary assessment after cpr and looking for (cerebro)spinal fluid, what colour is it and where does it tend to "leak" out?
individuals say it comes out of your ears but i need to make sure :S

Answers:    It does come out of the ears and is a clear to yellowish fluid.
Depending on the trauma, at hand may be blood as well.
