Answers: It could be a Pilonidal Abscess. They are fairly adjectives. It's basically a boil under the skin right below the tail bone. They are prone to infection and if untreated they can tunnel deeper and deeper and the infection will spread. Usually the doctor will put you under standard anaesthesia and remove the abscess. You may have to stay at the hospital over night. If you don't have it removed, though, it may disappear on its own simply to come back again later. Best to get it treated since the infection can form you really sick.
It could be a cancerous or other such growth as well. Either way, you should have it looked at.
When you have the accident did you fall on your bottom?
That might have dog-eared the coccyx (your tailbone).
Frequently the pain comes from the inflammation of the discs between the little vertebrae. So IBUPROFEN would be something to take to help relieve the swelling and inflammation, Excedrin for the aching. Give it a try it should help. Sitting on a DONUT pillow (an oval pillow with a hole in the middle) will relieve the bulk off the tailbone.
Good Luck.
Go to a Chiropractor You need to go to the doctors. And whip care of your back trouble before it get worse. Your back is telling you some thing is wrong. I in a minute some one that had back surgery.
