Post Surgical Spinal Fusion & Pain?
Has anyone experienced increased pain after spinal fusion? Looking to hear from individuals that have had a Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) inplant.
Answers: I one-sidedly haven't, but my sister had spinal fusion several years ago, and is still not back to work. She still has distress, but it's better than it was. She was using a cane/walker most of the time before the surgery, in a minute she only uses a wheelchair/cane when she knows she's going to be doing a lot of walking.
She doesn't enjoy a SCS implant, but she does have a TENS unit that she uses a large amount, and has for years. I can tell you from personal experience, the TENS unit does support (I have a herniated disk L5-S1, and MP, and use my own TENS unit every day!)
