Spinal Chord Injury?

My father was caught between two halves of a double wide trailer at his hips, he was hung at hand for about a minute and a half until somehow one of his collegues wiggled one partially of the trailer and got him lose (Thats all you need to know in the order of HOW he got injured.) So anyways, He has compression on his spinal cord (We were contained by the ER for 23 dreadful hours with no sleep) and his pelvis is fractured in two places on one side. My stepmother did research and found that immediate surgery should transport place. The hostpital sent him home with crutches when we left. They started to do surgery, but they didnt because of his bad history of anestesia problems (He have trouble waking up when he had hemerroid because he was on cocaine, which he no longer is.) So anyways, can anyone offer proffesional advice? It would really help! *Also, he hasnt had a bowel movement since the calamity, and he has to strain to pee. When he stops straining, he stops peeing.*

Answers:    It sounds like your dad may have "Ogilvie's Syndrome", which is due to swelling from a broken pelvis. The nerves to the colon and bladder are artificial (sometimes even crushed) and the injury will prevent bowel movements and urination.
Your dad needs to be seen at a trauma center, not a podunk hospital, and ASAP. This is nothing to mess around next to.
