Spinal column partially the diameter of common personage?

My daughter is experiencing back pain all over, not due to injury (12yrs). My brother at 30yrs be diagnosed with this problem with his spinal column being partially the diameter of normal person. He underwent surgery and is fine presently (but it took 5 orthopedic and 1 neurosurgeon to Diagnose the problem. Does anyone know if this is a genetic problem?

Answers:    Yes it is, and you should get your daughter checked out, because the earlier this is fixed, the easier her life will be.
It sounds close to your brother may have had spinal stenosis? That can be a genetic disorder, but can also be caused by other things. Definately natter about this with your doctor at your daughter's next checkup, or if her anguish does not subside make her an appointment right away.
