so my merely option after all the pain and suffering is the pump? how does it formulate you feel, will I still be able to work, I'm a chef n can't work more than 5hrs now. I go to culinary school to one day become a Master Chef But my life be chosen another way. Any help
Appreciate!

Answers:    I'm assuming you go to a niggle clinic. Have they tried nerve blocks? Have you tried Fentanyl Patches? What about a SCS? You have MANY option! If you don't feel comfortable getting the morphine pump; don't! It's your body! I was offered a SCS (spinal cord stimulator) by my pain doctor and I merely didn't feel right about it; so I didn't get it. We tried alot of things; but very soon I'm back to pretty much pre-pain condition by using Fentanyl Patches. I'm Sooo glad I didn't get the SCS and now I in recent times have to wear patches... So; don't give up.
Morphine is marvelous for chronic torment. Unfortunately it also is highly addicting and has a lot of objectionable side effects. You can function on it, but you will experience constipation, loss of libido and probably not be nearly as mentally alert. Your moods will probably not be as good, nor will you be as happy as you can be.
