Spinal Cord Stimulator Implant operation?
At last i have received a date for the operation i so desperately need. Can anyone who have had the implant suggest what to take into hospital for me to do when i am lying nearby. Obviously i wont be lying on my back for a while, so what did you take with you, and what is devout for distraction from the pain when lying on your belly/on your side?
Answers: I had a slightly different operation - i had an lp shunt inserted surrounded by my spine and they had me FLAT on my back even thou thats where the op be. i was told i couldn't move for 24 hours while it settled. in those days (7 years ago) the bedsides didn't have those bedside tvs, they might serve u relieve boredom. i had to use a bed pan and everything. after telling us for 25 years not to drizzling bed i had to learn to let dance whiloe lying there ( not easy to do) lol
seriously i said to my hubby if i had to count the spots on the ceiling tiles an additional time .
the easiest distraction i found was music, a wlakman or ipod would be easy enough to wear and a radio would preserve u in contact with real world anything that is
