Spinal Cord Stimulator Success anyone? Help Please!?

I'm having a trial scs in about 8 days. I ruptured a disc contained by my neck in 2002 and currently have niggle in both shoulders at the top along with pain and spasms contained by my trap muscles more to the right and also have pain in my mid-back nouns near the shoulder blade on the right side. I initially had pain that go down both arms but that was helped with the epidural two months after my disc injury. My surgery wasn't untill 2004 because adjectives the MRI's only showed a bulging disc. The surgery took away my numbness in my fingers and my other arm stopped jumping upward. I've done everything else (epidurals, giant doses of narcotics, injections, physical therapy, chiropractic treatment, & acupuncture) to help manage my severe discomfort for the last 6 years. I also got diagnosed with RSD/CRPS within March 2008. I don't have any extremity pain like arm backache anymore except in my traps going down my back near the shoulder blade. I'm have doubts that this will work for me since I heard somewhere on the net that it usually works in folks who have extremity pain not just put money on or neck pain.

Has anyone had nouns with this and did they have extremity pain or not?

Answers:    I'm sorry to answer your put somebody through the mill without answering your question. With that being said, what I expect is that I do not have an SCS implanted. I will be doing a trial in a couple of months. I have destabilized nerves in my groin/thigh (ilioinguinal, iliohypogastric, genito-femoral). My pain management doctor said that he is not sure how the SCS will work for me as the majority of society he has placed them in have have either foot or back pain. He specifically mentioned vertebrae pain. I hope that is somewhat encouraging for you. I have also talk to a LOT of people who have had SCS's implanted and copious of them were/are for back pain. It seems to work very well for back pain sufferers. I have even hear of some that had upper back pain as you do.
I will you luck with your trial and would love to hear how things go for you. If you would like to agree to me know or if anyone else would like to talk about their experiences, please email me at mark(a)cloverfire.com
I hold a Medtronic spianl stimulator in my lower back with nine wires implanted along my lower spine.
I can obviously adjust the way this works. I wouldn't go without it. I am still on Vicodon and Neurontain although I own tried to go without, it doesn't work. The sciatic nerve (both) tender a new meaning to pain. The stimulator does help out.
