Spinal Decompression by Chiropractors?

I am 83 and have trouble walking. My legs don't seem to get the message form my brain. My spine as you would expect has problems including degeneration. Chiropractors in my area are hype the use of Spinal Decomprssion machines as a cure all. Any comments?
