Spinal Fusion and the pros and cons?
I had an accident at work and now own narrowing of the Disc spaces between L4-5 And L5-S1 also my L5 is crooked. It pinches my nerves to my left leg when I stand and sometimes I cant use power in my right leg or it hurts my back. Now I cant drive myself because I loose control of my legs. It is soo impossible that I fell in the shower last week and had to stay contained by the hospital for almost a week.
Under the conditions where there is motor control loss surgical intervention maybe the simply way to alleviate the problem. I am not a fan of doing surgical procedures on the back as they one and only have a fifty percent success rate. Again in this valise there may not be an alternative. Since this is a workman's compensation case check with the state nearly your ability to see another doctor and get at least one other judgment. The workman's compensation may want to force you into getting the procedure but don't let them unless you are of the feeling that it is going to truly help you. Also don't consent to them tell you how much physical therapy you need or when you are at the point of discharge. I hope that you hold a lawyer that specializes in workman's compensation cases only as the law can be very complicated. Remember that no matter how nice they sound the luggage manager's goal is to get you off the insurance company's expense rolls as quickly as possible.
