Spinal Headaches?
In January of this year my husband started recieving spinal epd. for a herniated disc. After the second treatment he needed a blood patch (that didn't work) After the third treatment he needed another blodd patch that didn't work. He has been in and out of the hosptial an ER. We where on earth just there today because the headache was so unpromising.the ER doctor said he doesn't feel that the pain is maybe from the spinal and he have order him to have CT and MRI's on Monday at another large hosptial. My put somebody through the mill is can spinal epd. affect something else in the brain that may be causing the problem or in the spinal cord.? Any knowlege something like spinal headache that are lasitn more then then a few weeks would be nice or personal stories. Thanks,
Answers: Do they insert medication into his spine via the epoidural? I am not sure if its the same as what my husband have, but i will tell you what happened with him.
When my husband be on chemotherapy, they had to give him chemo into his spine. They would take out a reliable amount of spinal fluid & replace the exact amount with chemo.
A couple of times he had a doctor who was a bit inexperienced next to it. The took out spinal fluid & inserted chemo, but a few ml less than they took out. There has to be the exact same amount put back surrounded by. If not it cause severe headaches. Sometimes he was wipe out wityh headaches for days and from what he said, they were really terrible.
It sounds resembling this might be whats happed with your husband. My husband was on constant morphine when it happened next to him. Hop this helped.
