Spinal touch question. Please lend a hand.?
I may be getting a spinal tap soon. But I have a few questions.
1) What does it really be aware of like?
2) Pain from a scale of 1-10
3) Can it be done under sedation?
4) How long does it pocket?
5) Any downtime and what's the process after the procedure is done.
Thank you very very much.

i had a spinal tap and at first i had no hypersensitivity..but then after 2 or so days i had a monster headache which was soothed by lying down on a bean shoulder bag.it disappeared within a week.bye and good luck I'm the biggest wimp in the world when it comes to shots!
Really it isn't discouraging.
1) I never even felt it. The most I felt was the doctor putting cold iodine to verbs the area.
2) Felt no pain so I'd say 1
3) it go so fast, I doubt they will sedate, plus you have to sit up
4) a second, it's concrete fast
5) no down time, I went to work the next daytime.
Relax, you may not want to look at the needle, but it's really not bad at all. Again, if I could do it, anyone can!
I used to enjoy cancer and had 2 dozen spinal taps. The process is very humiliated, but not that painful.
After the procedure, you will have horrible headaches that prevent you from any acticity for around 2 days.
The process solely takes 10 to 15 minutes, but don't plan anything for a few days, you will be laying in bed wish you could knock yourself out for a few days.
Good luck, I hope it goes better for you.
