Spinal injury- 4 months ago. Can i do phy exercise?

I had injured in spinal cord L1 vertibral compression 4 months ago. There was no nerves problem. There is no problem at adjectives. Only I am feeling some stiffness in the waiste. Can i run or jogging? Which type of precaution should i bear? Doctor has advised some exercises like: sarvang asan, bhujang asan.

Answers:    Well, the doctor already advise on some exercise types, as in hatha yoga poses.

I do find it a bit odd that he recommended sarvangasana for a spinal injury patient. You should not do this if you hold high blood pressure, have suffered neck whiplash, are actively menstruating, or hold spinal weakness caused by conditions such as arthritis or osteoperosis.

I suspect rather he be advising that you do some of the gentler poses.

Now, as to running. Unless cleared by your doctor, I would be cautious. Running puts tremendous impact pressure on the spine. You stated a compression [fracture yes?] of L1. Take it slow, at least for the first few months.

Now, the suitable news is, the weight bearing entertainment. will, in the long run, help you. It will stimulate the bones to get stronger. Just please be on your guard at first
ask the doctor Normally problems like this may not trouble much, but still u must be cautious for next 2 more months resembling,
avoid forward bending
no heavy weight lifting
donot sit for long time
follow proper posture
maintain u r muscles of the subsidise.

some simple exercises are
lay down on u r back
1.lift one leg upto 45 degree hold for 5 sec and relax and do it again to other leg, repeat resembling this for 10 times
2.bend both the legs and lift your waist and relax repeat for 10 times
3.Lay on your stomach
raise the left leg upyo 30 point nad relax and same on to right repeat 5 times
With u r arm support raise your head and shoulder and relax
