Spinal meningitis?

We bought a pool and we filled it up with water and my 9 month elderly was swimming and once took a plunge and a face full of water. She played within the pool for about 30 minutes. Well afterwards we found out it was grey water (sewer river not disinefted, just cleaned) So I came in and rinsed her sour (very carefully) with bleach water. She has be tested for menigitis before and required a 3 day hospital day on an IV. I don't want to walk through it again or put her through it again. How long after exposure to the bacteria will syptoms show? How can I tell it's menigitis and not something simple. And please don't give me a stupid answer and I could digit out myself.

Answers:    The incubation time for meningitis is about 2-10 days. So, after that time, the chance of your daughter having meningitis is greatly negligible.

I'd relax and if she starts to appear tired and lethargic, along with a glorious fever, nausea/vomiting and diarrhea, then you should take her to the hospital.

But it is unlikely that your daughter will contract meningitis.
