Spinal slap / lumbar puncture headache..anyone own one beforehand??

Personal experiences please...

I know that the spinal tap headache only happens when sitting or standing and get better when laying down. What I want to know is what it feels like and where on earth it is.

Is it in the back of the head, front, between the eyes, contained by the top of the head, in the temples or is it in recent times all over?

Also, is it a stabbing feeling, a sharp pain, throbbing misery or something else?

My last questions are...if you've had a spinal slap headache how long did it take to go away? Did you get a blood patch and if so, how long after the slap did you get the blood patch?

Thank you
