Spinal Stenosis...anyone own it and how do you cope?

Answers:    I have been diagnosed with Spinal Stenosis for heaps years now, however other issues have over-ridden the stenosis & taken priority. All came nearly from my having been hit by a drunk driver when I was 17. As I grew up, suffering debilatating migraines, eventually ascendant into ruptured discs, etc...MRI's & more testing then I care to muse over, eventually led me to having spinal/cervical surgery. Neurosurgeons rebuilt my collar area with bone from my hip & titanium plates & screws. All from severe whiplash at age 17, I am very soon 53...the stenosis is actually considered like an arthritis but stiffening of the vertebrae. My neck have hundreds of bone spurs [like scar tissue but bone] eventually causing neurological problems which worsened with time, the spurs be actually touching the spinal cord at times as well as the stenosis was cause a narrowing of the area where the cord sits inside the vertebrae, surgery was my simply choice after years of every pain mgmt treatment available, including physical therapy, etc...Exercise is generally a dutiful treatment for those with early stenosis unfortunately my stenosis set contained by without my knowledge & exceeded beyond turning back~ Spinal Stenosis is something one can live a natural stout life with so long as you take proper fastidiousness & concentrate on overall good well_being~ take care of your robustness & be good to yourself! I hope you stay strong & well, without allowing any form challenge to lessen your quality of life! POSITIVE thinking truly help your body be in sync with your mind & eventually you learn that 'you' can indeed be surrounded by control..Take care~
