Sudden tingling/numbness below the refuse. Could this be from a spinal hit?
I recently had a spinal tap done give or take a few 2 months go. I was diagnosed with a psuedo tumor and given diamox. I am aware some side effects are tingling of my hand and feet-which I have had since I started taking it. I also noticed my frontage is tingling as well (which is not one of the side effects) Since Thursday, my lower half of my body (from my rear finishing all the way to my toes have be numb and tingling) I have tried walking around but it is only getting worse.
I am more than 100 lbs over weight and hold PCOS. I am taking 2000 mg of glucophage for insulin resistance, but am not a diabetic. I have lost 10 lbs since I started to take the diamox. If the tingling is due to my weight, why would it start presently that I am losing weight? Could it be from the spinal tap? The diamox?
My father and his mother also have edema (they are not overweight) I enjoy had swelling in my feet for over a year, but it have gone down since I have started the diamox.
Answers: The symptoms you describe probably aren't due to the spinal tap. 2 months is plenty enough time for it to enjoy healed. On the other hand, people who are grossly obese tend to treat a lot slower. I also doubt your PCOS has anything to do with your symptoms. The edema you see within your father and grandmother is likely caused by heart related ailments. Your edema may be as well, but could be due to something entirely different.
My suggestion is that you construct an appointment with your doctor and have a thorough exam. Be sure to tell them ALL the symptoms you're experiencing and ALL the medication, vitamins, and over the counter drugs you've been taking.
