T12 Burst Fracture - Spinal Fusion near a pen..How strong is it?

Ok 3 years ago i had a car accident and have a T12 burst fracture...a braise didn't hold it and let it heel so nearly 1 year later i had a operation where on earth they removed some rib and used it to fuse inside a cage and pined the vertebrates.

Now im feeling alot better go the gym 5days a week and am running a 3 mile run for sport nouns in march.

My question is how strong is a fusion is it a week spot or stronger than earlier?

I ask as i want to get back in to motorsport

Answers:    Certainly no expert, but next to any spinal fracture, I would have thought that the strength of your cervical vertebrae after the accident would have be altered, and no doubt each individual case would be at variance. I do understand, however, that after a bone has been broken, you will own at least most of the strength of the original bone. I think you would inevitability to discuss this with your consultant/doctor. Personally I would tend to be cautious. Next time you may not be so lucky.
