Three years ago my son have spinal fusion he have shameful complications very soon quadraplegic hospital wont support?
on october 19th 04 my son had spinal fusion the dr did not use the emg machine there be allso a question of central line displacement,immediately my son is on a vent 12 hours a day total care quadraplegia trach the hospital claims ne responsability oct 21st a dr saw the central flash was displaced in a vein feed the spinal cord they allso didnt use the emg machine i had a lawyer he did nil we ran out of time statute 2 years he said we had till he was 21 later we all the sudden ran out of time?seems fishie to me none the smaller quantity iam takeing care of my son who is now 17 by myself his mother left couldnt manipulate it !and the hospital wont help at all there are so tons things i need for him now what can i do someone please HELP my son walked contained by the hospital and allmost didnt make it out we spent 7 months in the hospital now because of this trach vent UTI,swe are contained by and out a lot can someone PLEASE HELP US!
Answers: Your son is disabled and qualifies for US Government and State funded Public Aid programs for medical assistance called 'MEDICAID' which will cover adjectives prescriptions, tests, doctors fees and bills, hospital stays, physical therepy, occupational therapy, ER visit, ambulance services, rehab support and equipment such as wheel chairs, oxygen tanks, pretty much everything including dental and vision services... once your application for medical assistance aid is approved.
I am surprised the hospital did not report you about this... mine did, and they even filed the application on my behalf while I was laid up. Do contact your states 'Department of Human Services' just about applying for your sons predicament... not the hospital.
This also sounds like your son may have been a target of 'gross negligence' which the hospital and the doctors who provided service are responsible for. Do contact a lawyer that specializes in 'Malpractice law'... if you got the run around by everyone involved including that attorney then there is no statute of limitations... the Judge that ends up hearing this valise will waive that issue and start from scratch. This is what you need to do.
Get in touch next to the closest Shriners' Club. I have observed them helping people with serious problems, providing transportation to doctors' & hospitals, even if it is out-of-state.
You might ring up the Health & Welfare Dept. & tell them you need to speak to a social worker. If its' hard for you to travel, they will come to you. They own lots of resources to help sick people.
