What are the mundane measurements of the spinal conduit?
I have spinal stenosis and recently got an MRI report including my spinal conduit measurements and wondered where I stood with my measurements

Summary Spinal elastance and the time course of pressure decrease after saline injection into the lumbar subarachnoid space be measured in a control group and in a group of patients with spondylogenic narrowing of the cervical spinal waterway. The elastance is higher with retroflexion of the head than beside anteflexion. This is more pronounced in degenerative diseases of the spine, proving the existence of a pincers mechanism.
High elastance values at high volume change indicate a narrowing of the cervical spinal canal. With a normal spinal canal the pressure lower shows a slow monoexponential slope (T/2=100.8±13.4 seconds).
In patients with partial obstruction of the spinal canal, especially beside retroflexion of the head, a secondary pressure increase after termination of the volume injection was observed. This minor pressure increase decreases in a biexponential manner next to a fast slope (T/2=37.62±15.88 seconds) followed by a slow slope. With severe obstructions a plateau remained.
This easily perform and well-tolerated measurement can be of aid in the quantification of obstructions of the spinal subarachnoid space.

There is really no point on giving you a number. Your treatment should be guided on your symptoms and physical exam. 1/5 of healthy patients with no problems enjoy abnormal MRI's. It is your doctor, preferably neurosurgery or neurologist, who will determine if that "magic" number is significant in your case or not. Not concrete sure, but it probably depends on several factors.
I am interested in this too as I just get diagnosed with spinal stenosis, and one of the contributing factors listed be that I have a congenitally small spinal canal
