What is spinal stenosis and how can it be treated?

Answers:    By the time we hit middle age, the spaces between the discs in the skeleton start to shrink and become narrower. This is what is called Spinal Stenosis. Generally, conservative supervision is encouraged. This involves the use of anti-inflammatory medications, other pain relievers, and possibly steroid injections. If the affliction is persistent and does not respond to these measures, surgery is considered to relieve the pressure on the nerves.

Surgery is performed on the neck or lower hindmost, depending on the site of the nerve compression.
