What is the cyst on the spinal cord?
My dad just went for an MRI. Then got told he have a cyst on his spinal cord and it is taking up about half of the area contained by the disk channel. The docotor said that his spinlal cord doesn't show any injury but something like if he starts to have loss of reaction in his arms and legs then t go within. well i dont like that at all. I would similar to to get all the information i can on this. Please Help.

Sounds like there is promising to be some pressure on the spinal cord - hence he may feel numbness. It is probably too risky to operate on, and if it does not bother him, they will not do it, due to the possibility of him becoming paralyzed. You failed to say which bit of the spinal column it is in. Where it is, is dependent on the type of paralysis he may get.
