Will I know how to dance to concerts and mosh or crowd surf after I return with a spinal fusion?
I am 15, and I have a 54.1 degree curvature. I am going to have spinal fusion surgery this summer and be wondering whether I could go to a concert right after the surgery (about a few weeks later). I know this question sounds a little unnatural but this is the only thing about the effect of my scoliosis surgery that I do not know almost. I love moshing (hope you guys know what it is) and crowd surfing very much and was looking forward to a concert and I bought the ticket already but then I go to my doctor and he told me that I should get a surgery soon.

At a few weeks post-op, your spine can be compared to glue to be exact still tacky. It may be sticking if left alone, but it has not set however. In other words, your back is still quite fragile and you don't want to break your fusion. Even if you're wearing a back brace while you are recovering, its not adequate to protect you from people that are deliberately running into you. I understand that it is fun and as a rule I'd say go fer it, but not this time.
Believe me, you may not want to go to a concert after anyway. Depending on how fast you recover, you still may be on pain meds and not contained by much of a mood to be that social. Remember, this is major surgery and your hormones will probably change during your recovery. Depression is possible, for example.
So when will be a perfect time to do those things. Your doctor may differ, but personally, I'd say not before 6 months post-op and preferably 1 year post-op. Also, you're going to hold to watch out for being bent in ways that you're not competent to bend anymore. It *is* possible to crack your fusion if you get seriously bent in the range of your fusion.
in that is no way you can go that soon. sorry. surgery / spinal fusion takes a while to restore your health from. my mom's roomate in hospital had to have it done , she jump from her upstairs bedroom window to escape while her home was robbed. they said like 3 months. she be in pretty bad pain. chat to your doctor and see what to expect ? i wouldn't jeopardize your back and care of it for a few months , because you will have this put money on for your life and you can' t have multiple surgeries done to fix it . eventually you can probably do more , but take the time / invest contained by your future so you can enjoy things like this contained by your long term. think long term and be paitent and don't verbs about the short term things you must give up. virtuous luck to you Spinal fusion is something that is meant to restrict movement of the vertebrae. The impact from the mosh pit activities, the risk of a slip and tip out, and also the violent jerking of your spine could all directly front to un-fusion of your vertabrae and possibly paralyzation... i would personlly just sit back and watch other citizens get bloodied and bruised..
do you even know how serious that kind of surgery is?! i dont think you do, because if you did you wouldnt even be asking this cross-question, do you wanna spend the rest of your life in a chair?! hey im 15 too! i have my surgery alittle over a year ago. but i ended up getting two. because i got paralyzed from the first. but anyways the surgery might not seem approaching it will have you down, considering youre 15 and nothing can keep a 15 year infirm down. but it really does kick your a**. recommending you going to a mosh concert would be like recitation a blind person to walk on water. its not a honest idea what so ever. recovery takes at the lowest possible two weeks to have the incision healed. but that does not mean the fusion is fully developed. you would be super adjectives to messing anything up in your back. so for your best interest dont do it. infact dont do anything thats full contact. you want to give yourself time to treat. and in a year or so, you can get back to your usual entertainment. but with caution.
don't recommend it a surgery like that must be taken support of. What is more important your back or a concert.
