Would a spinal injury show on an x-ray or scan?

Answers:    The best way to find out if you've had some sort of spinal injury is to have an MRI. It would provide the clearest contrast and unmatched resolution of all imaging techniques. It's the gold standard surrounded by determining the extent of such injuries.
If the vertebral column has become unaligned, then yes, it would show up. X-rays are best for hard connective tissue (i.e. bones) so if you suspect issues beside the actual spinal chord or spinal nerves, an X-ray is not effective. A MRI is more designed for soft tissue scans. you have to take an m.r.i scan
