Yoga and spinal injuries?
10 years ago my dad had to have 2 bolts put in his spine to hold 2 vertabrae together, would it be ok for him 2 do yoga starting with a beginners dvd
Answers: it might help. have you considered Baba Ramdev's yoga. he is extremely famous in India and helps lot of empire. Also try Kapalbhati yoga.
Yes to answer your question. But it all depends on what type of Yoga he is going to practise. Any Yoga that is involved bending the body/spine/ hips is not advisable. By doing these types of yogas he may do more injury to spine he will be better off going to a class with a certified teacher who can form the postures individualised and so work better for him, and to supervise him to ensure he doesn't hurt himself.
